The MOSAIC System for assessing risks posed in the Workplace (MAT-W) has restricted access.  Generally, this MOSAIC is made available to large corporations, institutions, government agencies, and universities.  MAT-W is designed for evaluating the three major workplace hazards organizations face: The angry employee, the angry former employee, and the stalker who seeks out his victim at work.

Access to MAT-W is limited to organizational entities responsible for assessing and managing these situations, i.e., Human Resources, Legal, Security, or key members of a workplace violence or crisis management team.  Qualified users can request additional information below.

The idea of someone going on a shooting spree at work was once outlandish, but by the mid-80’s it was in the news nearly every week, and managing employee fear of such events became a frequent topic in the boardroom.

Until 1995, MOSAIC systems were available only to law enforcement and government agencies, but with universities and large corporations often facing situations requiring assessment, this MOSAIC was developed to evaluate the three most likely sources of violence in the workplace:

  • angry employees
  • angry former employees;
  • stalkers who pursue their targets at the workplace.

The development of this MOSAIC was guided by an Advisory Board of experts and practitioners from industry, education, and law enforcement.

This MOSAIC is most often used by professionals in security departments, legal departments, and human resources offices of large organizations, government agencies, and universities.
