  • Q: I am not able to access the assessment area of MOSAIC, what should I do first?

     

    A: The first steps are to ensure your computer has a supported web browser and to try the solutions on this page. If you continue to have problems, try to access MOSAIC from another computer.


  • Q: I have signed up, but have not received the welcome email.

     

    A: When creating your account, MOSAIC will send you a verification email to confirm your account. Some systems may flag this message as Spam and route it to your Junk Email Folder. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes, please check your Junk Email Folder for the email.


  • Q: Is my web browser supported by MOSAIC?

     

    A: MOSAIC requires that you use one of the following browsers:

     


  • Q: How do I determine what browser I am using and update it if needed?

     

    A: Outlined below are the basic steps for checking the version for the most popular web browsers.

     

    Internet Explorer/Edge:

     

    Internet Explorer has now been replaced by Microsoft Edge:

     

    1. Select the three dots on the far right at the top of the screen
    2. Select Help and Feedback
    3. Then select about Microsoft Edge
    4. Microsoft Edge will run an update if there is one pending or show you the current build as shown in the below link:

    Google Chrome:

     

    1. Select the three dots on the top far right of the browser
    2. Select Help
    3. Select about Google Chrome
    4. Google Chrome will then update to the latest version or show you the current build.

    1. Select the three lines at the top far right of the browser
    2. Select Help
    3. Select About Firefox
    4. Firefox will then either update to the latest build or show you the current updated build

    Safari:

     

    1. To keep Safari up to date for the version of macOs you're using, install the latest macOS updates
    2. The most recent version of macOS includes the most recent version of Safari. For some earlier versions of macOS, Safari might also be available separately from the Updates tab of the App Store.

  • Q: Is JavaScript required to use MOSAIC?

     

    JavaScript is a scripting language used in dynamic websites such as MOSAIC. Modern browsers have JavaScript enabled by default, but if you received a warning then your browser has JavaScript disabled.


  • Q: How can I determine if JavaScript is enabled in my browser?

     

    We have provided the steps below to check the setting in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. Please check the online support for your browser if the steps below do not apply to your browser.

     

    Internet Explorer/Edge:

     

    1. Select the three dots on the far right on top of the browser
    2. Select Settings
    3. Select Cookies and Permissions
    4. Scroll down to JavaScript
    5. Make sure Allow (Recommended) is enabled

     

    Google Chrome:

     

    1. Select the three dots at the far right of the browser
    2. Select Settings
    3. Select Privacy and Security
    4. Scroll down to JavaScript
    5. Make sure Sites can use JavaScript is enabled

     

    Safari:

     

    1. Go to Edit > Preferences
    2. On the new window displayed, ensure "Enable Javascript" is enabled

     


  • Q: I can't get past the log in screen. When I answer whether I want to change my password, I am redirected back to the log in page.

     

    A: Your problem is most likely due to COOKIES not being enabled in your browser. Below are instructions on enabling the cookies on the most common browsers. If you cannot log in at all, the email or password you are entering might be incorrect or not in our system, to recover your password click here.

     

    To check and change the privacy settings for each browser, please follow the below steps:

     

    Microsoft Edge:

     

    1. Microsoft Edge Privacy settings are changed in the settings under Privacy, Search, and Services
    2. You can select the option for "Balanced." This will allow Cookies to be enabled for the browser

     

    Google Chrome:

     

    1. Google Chrome Privacy settings are changed in the Settings menu, under Privacy and Security
    2. You can select the option for Third-party cookies, and set it to enabled

     

    Mozilla Firefox:

     

    1. Mozilla Firefox Privacy settings are changed in the Settings menu, under Privacy and Security
    2. When the "Standard" option is enabled, it'll have a dropdown to enable Cookies for sites

     

    Safari:

     

    1. Click Edit, then click Preferences
    2. On the window that appears, click the "Security" panel
    3. Next to " Accept Cookies," ensure "Only from sites you navigate to" is checked
    4. Restart your browser and try again
